As a reader of SharpShutter.co, you’re probably fully aware by now that we’re huge fans of spectacular time-lapses on YouTube. We’ve already featured a number of time-lapses here, and will continue to do so. We recently came across this absolutely mind-blowing time-lapse from the beautiful country of Norway and can’t take our eyes off of it.
Aptly and simply titled NORWAY – A Time-Lapse Adventure 4K, this is one of the most magnificent time-lapses we have ever seen. Created by Morten Rustad, an incredibly talented young photographer from Norway, this time-lapse takes us on an incredible journey through Norway and introduces us to the stunning beauty of its nature – both in the summer as well as winter.
This is a time-lapse video resulting from a 15,000 km (almost 10,000 miles) long road trip and tens of thousands of images taken along the way over the last 5 months. The journey has covered all of Norway’s 19 counties, from the far south to the Russian border in the Northeast.
The video shows some of the most scenic places in Norway, such as Lofoten, Senja, Helgelandskysten, Geirangerfjorden, Nærøyfjorden and Preikestolen.
The journey in the video takes us through the deep fjords in the south west to the moon landscape in the north. We even get to see the perpetually fascinating Aurora Borealis in the video — an obligatory footage from every big time-lapse video.
Go ahead, and watch the time-lapse in all its glory. It’s truly remarkable.
Rustad has also posted this lovely behind-the-scenes footage from his journey below.
